The Glory & The Grace

“…This is what the glory of the LORD looked like to me. When I saw it, I fell face down on the ground, and I heard someone’s voice speaking to me. 

‘Stand up, son of man,’ said the voice. ‘I want to speak with you.’ The Spirit came into me as he spoke, and he set me on my feet. I listened carefully to his words.”

Ezekiel 1:28b-2:2 NLT

In chapter 1, Ezekiel describes an encounter with the Glory of The Lord. It’s wild, and marvelous, and amazing, and terrifying, and remarkable. I’d encourage you to read it. Ezekiel’s response to seeing the glory is that he “fell face down”. This humility and positioning is important. This week (beginning tonight) we are believing for God to show up in power and glory at the Converge Conference. Our response to His move will be humility. 

It is not our pride that will invite His Spirit. And when His Spirit moves, it’s not because of our skill.  It’s because of hearts that are joined by unity, filled with faith, and responding to God’s move with a going-low. 

And yet, when we’re in that low position, it is the beautiful grace of God to pick us up and place us back on our feet so we can encounter more of Him. 

“And He gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,
‘God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’”
-James 4:6 NLT

Praise God for His amazing grace and His overwhelming glory. 

Father, send Your Spirit to bring Your glory. I pray that we would be overwhelmed with Your presence, that we would respond with humility, and that we would be filled with Your grace. Give us ears to listen carefully to Your words. Use this conference to bring You honor and fame throughout Colorado. 

I look forward to seeing you all this week. Even though our 21-day fast is over, keep seeking God and allowing yourself to be changed by your times spent with Him.
