Getting Positioned for Breakthrough

Dear Rock Family,

In light of Thanksgiving this week, we are reminded how deeply grateful we are for each of you. It is amazing to see the wonderful people the Lord has brought to The Rock. As a leadership team, we regularly thank God for your faith, your hunger for Jesus, your generosity, and your love for this church family. We are genuinely blessed to walk alongside you, to pray with you, and to pursue Jesus together. Thank you for being a faithful and resilient body of believers.

I’m excited for this coming Sunday because Pastor Dan has a powerful word for the church from Isaiah 55, a chapter full of hope and promise. Isaiah prophesied to the future exiles of Israel, reminding them that God would not forget His people and that He would one day restore them.

Isaiah’s message doesn’t stop with the return from Babylon. It also points forward to a real future day when Jesus returns, keeps His covenant promises, restores Israel fully, and reigns from Jerusalem as the promised Son of David. God’s word will accomplish everything He has spoken. But this passage isn’t only about the future. It also shows us what God desires to do right now.

The same God who will bring full restoration in the age to come is the God who wants to bring breakthrough, renewal, and maturity to His people TODAY! His word still goes out like rain! It softens, it nourishes, and it produces good fruit.

As we step toward 2026, we sense the Lord inviting us to position ourselves for the breakthrough. We are to align with His ways and His timing, so that He can shape us and move through us.

Let’s come with hearts prepared this Sunday to hear from the Lord and allow Him to position us for all He wants to bring…for the breakthrough.  Thanks be to God who gives us victory THROUGH our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Cor 15:57)
