Final Preparations

Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1

I feel an excitement and also a reverent fear that the Lord is coming in great power – soon.   I’m not quite sure how to articulate this, but there is an urgency in my spirit to PREPARE.

Everything is about to shift!  There has been an increase in prophetic words over the past couple weeks from so many people that independently are speaking almost the exact same thing.  It is uncanny…in an encouraging way!  The other day, the Lord reminded me of something He told me back in 2019.  Here is an excerpt…

The days of old are past, behold the days of new have come. I have set you apart for this time and to operate in a new way. You are not to operate in the ways of old…not in the ways you have seen in the church’s past.  Behold I am doing a NEW THING.  Do not look to the former things…to the things of old.  What I have for you is not a model.  It is not a template.  It is a masterpiece created by me.  Look to me and only to me.

I am amazed every time I read the book of Joshua that after 40 years of wandering in the desert, the Israelites are given only three day’s notice to prepare before crossing the Jordan River to go into the Promised Land. That said, we find this to be consistent with God’s ways.  God announces His plans to us well in advance, but when He moves, He moves in the “Suddenlies!” (Is 42:9, Is 48:3, Acts 2:2) Then on the third day, the day they are crossing the Jordan, Joshua tells the people, “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you!” We are in final preparations for things the Lord has declared to us over the past years and it is evident that we are also in a time of consecration – of setting ourselves apart from the things of this world and repenting of our own ways. Consecration is Kingdom Alignment and is necessary for us to be part of this coming move of His Spirit. It has been beautiful to watch so many of you position your hearts to the Lord on Sunday mornings and throughout the week – especially over these past few Sundays!  I believe the Lord is positioning us for His glory.  Kingdom alignment and consecration draws the glory of God.  We see this in Exodus 40, 2 Chron 5, 2 Chron 7, Acts 2, and other places in the Bible.

Joshua also had some up-front important instructions in the shift from Desert to Promised Land.  He told the Israelites they must 1. Keep their eyes on the ark of the covenant (AKA – Jesus)  2. Move out from their ‘comfortable’ positions, and  3. Follow the ark of the covenant, because they have never been this way before.

I believe this all very much translates to us today!  I want to encourage us in this time of final preparations to continue to examine our hearts; press into the heart of God; fix our eyes on Jesus as we pray, fast, and set ourselves apart from the world; seek His ways; walk in radical obedience; love with His Agape love; and worship Him with our entire lives…as a living sacrifice!

During final preparations for the US/Iraqi war, a US veteran soldier was reported saying, “Part of preparing to go to war is not letting anything interfere with your concentration and your instincts…The time has nearly arrived when I will have to put all my training to the test, in combat.”

So in response we PRAY:  LORD – In these urgent days, may we set our eyes on you alone and not get distracted by the interferences around us. May we seek your face and walk in humble obedience to your word and ways. You told us that worries OF THIS WORLD would choke out the fruit in our lives. May we not fear, but give us strength and courage to live Christ-like lives on the battlefield of life so that we may receive the fullness of our inheritance in Christ!

I leave you with this statement from Rick Joyner: “WE DO NOT SEE IN ORDER TO BELIEVE, BUT WE BELIEVE IN ORDER TO SEE!”

May we prepare well and may the Lord rise upon us and His glory be over us.

We love you!
