The Rock Weekly – June 1, 2022

  • Wednesday Night Service – Tonight at 6:45pm in the Sanctuary! 
  • Family Breakfast this Sunday (6/5) from 9-9:30am!  We will be serving a free breakfast before the service this Sunday. Invite others to come for breakfast!
  • Pentecost Week – There’s a lot happening THIS week – June 2-4 leading up to Pentecost Sunday (June 5th).
    → Thursday, June 2 at 6:30pm, Night of Worship/Evangelism Training with Phillip Renner at The Rock
    → Saturday, June 4 at 2:00pm, Evangelism Outreach AT Boulder Courthouse on Pearl Street & then at 5:00pm Let Us Worship event in Boulder
    → June 5 at 9:45am, Special Pentecost Service with Outreach at The Rock
    → June 5 at 6:00pm, Time of Testimonies and Celebration Service at The Rock
  • Fasting & Prayer – We will be fasting and praying as a church for 3 days – Mon, June 6 – Wed, June 8.  These are such important times for us. I want to encourage you to press into the Lord for breakthrough and revelation.

 

A Strong Church That Knows Her God & Does Great Exploits

“… but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many…” (Daniel 11:32-33 NKJV)

As was discussed last Sunday, the Lord has GREAT PLANS for His church before His return. We will be a Holy church giving ourselves to good works (Rev. 19:6-8); a people encountering the Lord through dreams and visions and boldly prophesying in our generation (Acts. 2:17-21); a people taking the Gospel to every nation of the world (Matt. 24:14); a church anointed in joyful, glory filled worship that beckons Jesus to come and show Himself strong against His enemies. (Is. 24:14-17; Is. 42:10-17)

This past Tuesday as we gathered as a staff to pray, the Lord kept stirring us to cry out for Great Exploits (healings, miracles, signs and wonders)  – the same as what Daniel saw the endtime church demonstrating (Dan.11:32-33). The Lord also put it on our hearts to have a night of worship & evangelism training and two group evangelism efforts this week (see details above), and I want to encourage you to be a part of them. Begin to pray now that God will fill us with boldness to bear witness to the Gospel while He stretches out His hands to heal and that signs and wonders would be done through the name of Jesus (Acts 4:29-31). As we were praying on Tuesday, we were sowing seeds that His church is going to reap this week and weekend through divine encounters. He desires to bring the lost of the Front Range into His family, and He wants to use us!  All we have to do is go and His Spirit will lead us. If fear comes in to try and stop you from engaging, recognize that it is not of the Lord, and that He gives us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind to make Him known in our generation. Open your mouth and he will fill it.  Pray for those needs you see around you and watch God do great exploits of his power through you!

Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised! Let us walk with a Spirit of wisdom and revelation, knowing the hope of the gospel and giving this hope to others (Eph. 1:17-18). Jesus, You are asking Your Father to give you the lost of the nations as your inheritance (Ps 2:8), so empower us to be your witnesses. Pour out the greatness of your power through us and bring many souls into your kingdom (Eph. 1:19)!

May the grace of God fill you with boldness and power as you step out this week and on Pentecost Sunday.
