Do Not Become Weary In Doing Good!
Last night as I went to bed, the Lord put Galatians 6:9 on my heart… “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”   I feel that the Spirit wants to ‘revive’ us and encourage us in this time with strength and a focus to RUN the race as to win the prize (1 Cor 9:24) and with endurance to handle hardships without shifting our mindsets to worldly affairs (2 Tim 2:4).  The “church” can often become distracted from the ‘main thing’ or get tired at times and this ‘race’ often goes from a joyous sprint…to a tiresome walk…to sometimes even to a complete stop when we reach exhaustion and lose sight of the hope we are given.  But remember this…our God has created us to run a life empowered by His Spirit!

In Zech 4:6 the Lord reminds us that the mountains in front of us cannot be removed by our strength or by our power, but only by His Spirit dwelling within us.  It is His Spirit (His grace) upon us that gives us a divine power to accomplish His work and live in holiness. (2 Pet 1:3)  He goes on to remind us not to despise the day of small beginnings.  May our current position in life or our accomplishments never be the determining factor as to what God can accomplish through us.  Jesus is the only factor and through Him we can do all things! (Phil 4:13)  It is time that we COMPLETELY surrender our own will (and life) to Jesus and by faith take hold of the plans He has for us so we may run with perseverance this race set before us!

Lord – may every moment of our day be strengthened with power through the Spirit dwelling in our inner being, so that Jesus may be deeply rooted in our hearts through faith in order that His Love becomes the source and motivation of our lives!
