The Season Is Changing and the Rains Are Coming

I am so excited that we get to be alive in this very time in history!  You may have heard, but the Lord is on the move all across this nation and He is calling His people to move with Him.  Revival is in the air!  There are churches all across Colorado that are experiencing His presence like never before.  Normally scheduled hour and a half Sunday services are lasting 5 to 11 hours and repentance is hitting the altars.  Jesus says in John 10:27, “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me.”  I believe we are in a time where the Lord is calling His people (the Church) to move into the new and the unknown…a place where we must fully walk in humility and depend on Him.  He is taking us out of the comfort of our own plans and normally scheduled ways.  And He is searching for those whose hearts will be fully devoted to Him. Those who will walk humbly before Him and not walk in their own ways and understanding.  Those who will steward and submit to His ways.  And I pray that as His eyes set on us, that He will find a people that will say ‘yes’!  That we will hunger and thirst for Him alone and that we will be those who will sell all we have to buy the field for the hidden treasure! (Matt 13:44)

Lord, Make Psalm 42:1 our prayer in these amazing times where you are beginning to bring the refreshing rains.  May our souls long for you, O God, as a deer longs for streams of water.  May we thirst for the living God and may nothing else in this world satisfy!

As I was beginning to write this email, the Lord brought me to Deuteronomy 11:10-16 and my spirit leapt. I believe this is a word for the Church right now. It is also a confirmation of what He is doing, what He desires to do, and what He requires of us in this opportune time.  Here are the verses with some commentary from me. 😊

“The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. (The ways we have done things in the past will not be the way things will be done when His Spirit is poured out in great measure.  Everything is about to change.  We are going into a new land that requires a different stewardship and mindset.)  But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.  (I believe we are about to experience rain from heaven.  And our landscape of irrigated gardens is shifting to mountains and valleys.  These are not lands maintained by man, but by God!) It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.  (So we see what God desires to bring us into, but then there is a part we are to play.  We are to love and serve the Lord wholeheartedly!)  So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—  then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.  I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.  (The Lord is sending a continuous rain of His glory on the earth – both spring and autumn rains – for the gathering of souls, but we must set our eyes on Jesus and not be seduced by what the world has to offer…which in the end is nothing!)  Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them.”  [Deuteronomy 11:10-16]

I pray that our hearts are prepared for what the Lord is doing and going to do.  Eyes on Jesus…and on nothing else!

I love you and am very thankful for you all!
