The Rock Weekly – April 6, 2022

  • Heidi Baker will be speaking at The Rock this Sunday, 4/10/2022!
  • Wednesday Night Service – 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary (Note:  Not 6:45pm) we will be having a night of Worship (Warship) and Prayer as we lay the groundwork and prepare the way for the Lord to move throughout the Unite 2022 Love Awakening Conference that begins THIS Thursday (tomorrow) evening at 6:30pm. Youth will meet in the Gym at 7pm.  The Church is awakening to their God-given destiny and purpose with eyes to see and ears to hear!  There is great excitement in the air!
  • Unite 2022 – The Love Awakening Conference starts TOMORROW!  There are still a few seats available if you would like to come. THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING

John 3:8 “The WIND blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Wind plays a significant role in changing atmospheric conditions. It is the winds that blow in a storm or clear the clouds and pollution from an area. We are on day two of three days of intense winds blowing throughout our region of Colorado and it is changing the conditions around us. I am not trying to give you a weather report, but just as these winds bring an atmospheric change, I believe the Lord is saying that the winds are blowing in the heavens and change is in the air! 

Almost a year ago, I wrote this in one of our Rock weekly emails, “We are entering a new era and the wind of the Spirit is changing and also increasing.  We have put up our sails to catch the wind and the past season has been amazing, but we can’t get comfortable!  We need to be sensitive to the new direction of the wind and then make the proper adjustments so the wind catches our sails!  Otherwise we will be ‘dead in the water’ (nautical term).  The Spirit is on the move and I want to encourage you to press into the Lord, get oil for your lamp, abide in Him, and get to know His voice even better!  Make this your TOP priority.”

I am so encouraged to see how far we have come, but I believe the Spirit of the Lord is blowing with winds of change again and He is desiring to take us into a deeper place…to a more intimate and surrendered heart position than we have ever been. This is a posture of great humility (full dependence on the Lord). God is about to awaken His Church with a wind from heaven. Acts 2:17 says, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit (Wind, Breath) on all people.” God did this very thing on the day of Pentecost when the atmosphere of heaven changed and heaven’s WIND invaded earth!  “Suddenly a sound like a MIGHTY RUSHING WIND CAME FROM HEAVEN and filled the whole house where they were sitting.” (Acts 2:2)

Lord – I thank you for a consecrated people who are willing to step into the rushing deep river of your Spirit and go where you want to take us – abandoning the desires of this world and having the mind of Christ!  May the sails of our heart be lifted up and positioned to catch the wind of your Spirit as we move into uncharted waters!  May the eyes of our heart be in full devotion to Jesus!
