Consider My Ways

“I have CONSIDERED MY WAYS and turned my feet to follow and obey Your testimonies. I hurried without hesitating to keep Your commands.” (Ps 119:59-60)

I believe the Lord is setting before us a plumb line in this season that is going to give us a ‘true north’.  As the birth pains of the last days of earth increase, which seems to be accelerating quickly, the Bible tells us that many will be deceived, wickedness will increase, and the love of most will grow cold, but the ones who stand firm to the end will be saved. (Matt 24:4-14)  I pray that we all are those who will stand firm to the end!

So here is the question for us today:  Will we consider our ways?  I have been humbled these last couple days as I have been meditating on this and have realized areas of my life that need correction. It is in the humbling of ourselves before God, and in knowing that His ways are NOT our ways, that He is able to bring the sweet correction to our lives and redirect us by His Spirit.  My desire is to walk fully in the ways of the Lord every day of my life.  And I come to realize that this can only be accomplished through my humility to God, a repentant spirit, and living in the fear of the Lord. (Is 66:2)

Let me end with this challenge. Would you change how you are living for the Lord if you had unlimited finances, time, and abilities?  If the answer is yes, I want to challenge you to examine your ways, listen to the Holy Spirit, receive Godly counsel, and consider making these changes in your life now. Instead of waiting for God to provide you with what you think you need to do His will, begin to live fully devoted to His ways, as though you are not limited by time, talents, or treasures.  “For those who are faithful with very little, will also be faithful with much!” (Luke 16:10)

Lord Jesus, Would you reveal the areas of our heart that have limited you from working through us for your glory.  May we live our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to you, as our spiritual act of worship! May we have spiritual eyes to see what you see and not be limited by our human wisdom and understanding. Thank you for providing supernatural resources, finances, abilities, and time to accomplish the desires of your heart.  May we not live from natural resources, but from kingdom resources as we seek FIRST your kingdom. Holy Spirit, guide us, strengthen us, equip us, and guard our hearts so that we may live and move in step with your movement.  For it is not by our power, nor by our might, but by your Spirit that we are to live supernatural lives, abiding in you alone! Amen.
