Dear Rock Family,

As we started into the 2022 year, we felt the Lord tell us that He wanted to strengthen the work of our hands. As we reflect on this year, we have seen this happen in many ways.  We are truly grateful for each of you and honored to call you family.  So many of you have engaged with the Lord’s calling in new ways resulting in amazing kingdom impact. And many of you have shifted into new areas of ministry, not just within the church, but outside the church.  We have seen many grow in spiritual maturity and others join The Rock as established spiritual mothers and fathers.  Our desire is not to remain within the four walls of our church building, but to be an ecclesia that has a transformational impact in our community – where we live, work, and play. We are so encouraged to see the body of Christ come alive to the heart of God and engage in ways that impact the kingdom.

We also want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to you for being an active part of our church family through your generous donations, and your commitment to our community as volunteers in so many different areas. You have been a blessing and have helped us to continue the mission of building the Kingdom of God and transforming society through real family!  Without your financial support and your many hours of volunteering, we would not be able to continue the ministries and outreaches that The Rock is able to provide for the Body, our community, Colorado, and the nations.  Through your support, time, love, and prayer, we have provided the much-needed assistance to hundreds of families experiencing hardship, while also sharing the gospel message of hope with those overwhelmed by difficult circumstances. We have experienced the love and power of God moving in so many of these situations. We could not have done this without you. So from our hearts to yours…Thank you!

As we look forward to the new year, we are filled with anticipation and excitement for all that the Lord desires to do in and through us as we live surrendered and engaged lives for Jesus.  We believe the Lord is calling us into more fasting and prayer so that we remain aligned with God’s will and not distracted by the world. We desire to be those who walk in courage and boldness, knowing the Father’s voice and radically walking in His ways. We also believe God is awakening spiritual mothers and fathers to disciple a generation who is all-in for the kingdom.

This coming year we will set our eyes on Jesus and position the sails of our heart towards Him, for the wind of the Spirit is about to blow with a force that this planet has not seen before. 2023 will be a year of great acceleration as we align with His direction. We will see things happen faster than humanly possible.  This will be like a Nehemiah moment…”And so the wall was completed in fifty-two days…and they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.” (Nehemiah 6:15-16)

As we wrap up 2022, we invite you to join us for the last service of the year…our candlelight worship service on Christmas Eve at 3pm.  This is a great opportunity to invite family, friends, and those who don’t know Jesus.  If you are unable to join in person, we will live stream the service.

There will not be a Sunday morning service on Christmas Day. Our heart is that you would spend this special time with family or friends.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and for being an integral part of our church family.  We are so blessed to be arm and arm with all of you as we “Pursue God, Embrace People, and Transform Society through Real Family”!

May the God of hope fill you with all His joy and peace this Christmas season as you fully trust in Him, so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit! (Romans 15:13)

Merry Christmas!
We love you!
Mike, Kristi, and your Rock staff
