Welcome

You’re invited to experience the presence of God.

We are a church that pursues the heart and presence of God,
compelling us to love and disciple others through God’s supernatural power.

About The Rock

The Rock Church is a spirit-filled, non-denominational church located in The Meadows neighborhood of Castle Rock, Colorado. In our Sunday morning services (which start at 9:45am) we like to create environment that honors God and celebrates His Holy Spirit.

We do this by creating time and space in our program to allow for the unplanned and unexpected. Sometimes, that means praying for others, hearing scripture read aloud, coming to the “altar” in response, other times it may be someone sharing a prophetic word or a word of knowledge. Our leadership team is filled with anticipation that God will move, but we don’t claim to know exactly how He’ll do it–we hold to the tradition that God’s ways our higher than our ways so we always yield our planning to His preference.

Sunday morning services start at 9:45am and typically end between 12:30-12:45pm. During that time you can expect lots of worship, prayer, ministry time, and teaching.

Our church is passionate about unity in the region, ministry to the Lord, prayer and intercession, as well as raising up disciples who make disciples.

We hope you’ll join us for a Sunday morning and experience the presence of God.

God’s Greatest Goodness Revealed

Dear Rock Church,

As we approach Easter Sunday – a day when believers around the world celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ – let’s reflect on this truth: it was always the Father’s perfect will for Jesus, the Son of God, at the opportune time, to become the pure and spotless Lamb, the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

From Genesis to Revelation, we see the goodness of God. We see it in creation, in how He formed the heavens and the earth, and even more in how He created mankind in His image and likeness for a deep relationship with Him. And even though humanity continually sinned, disobeyed, and turned away from God through the fall in the Garden, the wickedness in Noah’s time, Israel’s rebellion in the wilderness, the cycle of idolatry in Judges, and the failures of leaders like David and Solomon, we see God respond again and again with mercy and goodness. It is clear throughout Scripture: God truly loves us!

But imagine if we only experienced ‘Old Covenant’ goodness of God. As great as that was, we would still face death and eternal separation from God because of our sin. So God did what no one would expect, He gave His own Son to suffer and brutally die as the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind (Is 53:10).

“For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.  But when the (greatest) GOODNESS and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”  Titus 3:3-7 ESV

May these verses, which do a great job of summing up God’s GREAT Goodness, remain upon our hearts as a reminder of God’s incredible goodness.

On Good Friday, we remember that Jesus became the perfect sacrifice, shedding His blood to save us from sin. But the story did not and could not end at the grave.

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins… But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead!” (1 Corinthians 15:17–20). Through His resurrection, Jesus, as our High Priest, secured eternal life for us. He entered the Most Holy Place in the heavenly tabernacle – once for all, offering His own blood and establishing a new and everlasting covenant. Without His death and His resurrection, our sins could not be forgiven. Hallelujah!

And the story still isn’t finished!  There is an even greater display of God’s GOODNESS yet to come. Our High Priest now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us…but He will come again. Jesus, our risen Savior and King, will return in His glory for His people…to bring the fullness of our redemption and salvation to those who eagerly await Him (Heb 9:28).

That Day will be both dreadful and glorious—dreadful for those who do not know Him, and glorious for those whose names are written in the Book of Life.  While we still have breath on this earth, may we respond to His Goodness in worship, prayer, and obedience to His will. And may many find the Greatest Goodness of God.

Prayer: “May the God of peace, who through the Blood of the eternal covenant, brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip us with everything good for doing His will and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.  Amen!” Heb 13:20-21

All glory to King Jesus!  We look forward to celebrating His resurrection with you this Sunday.

Elementary aged children enjoy age specific ministry in our children’s wing with fun and engaging activities.

Youth
Students in 5th-12th grade begin Sunday mornings with the adults, but after worship transition to different spaces for a middle school or high school aged lesson and activity.
