The Spiritual Parenting class and Child Dedication Celebration at The Rock have been designed to help create a lasting memory. God calls parents to teach their kids the most important thing they could ever learn: to love God with all their heart, soul, and strength. Our desire is for you to look back at this dedication as a significant beginning in your journey as you teach your child(ren) what it means to love God.

We offer a one-time, one-hour class two weeks prior to the dedication and is designed for parents to learn what it means to be the primary spiritual leaders to their children. The class is hosted by Children’s Pastor, Sylvia Barahona, and is open to all parents. This is a prerequisite for parents who would like to dedicate their children at one of our child dedication services.

We will make every effort to honor your requested date for child dedication, but due to service programming, space is limited and your request may be postponed for the next available Child Dedication Celebration.  Children’s Ministry will receive your children while you are in class.

We ask that you send in your prayer of blessing for your child, unless you’d prefer waiting to do this until after you attend the Spiritual Parenting Class. This prayer must be received no later than the Monday preceding the dedication. Click to see a blessing prayer sample.

The Children’s Ministry at The Rock believes this celebration is not just an event; it is the beginning of a partnership. We want you to know that our hope and prayer is that together, we will begin with the end in mind.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your child. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
