Isaac’s Testimony
A story of God’s power over cancer
This is a testimony of the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and the story of healing over Isaac. The last week in the month of September, Isaac was diagnosed with a rare, but confirmed treatable, form of leukemia. Isaac is my son-in-law’s youngest brother – age 17.
That Friday, September 29, I was in prayer over Isaac and felt such a burden for him. I was angry about his diagnosis and instant treatment and that his whole life came to such a halt in a matter of 24 hours. As I was praying, I was standing firm and declaring that leukemia must leave his body and go in the name of Jesus. After an hour or so, I texted my prayer warrior friends for agreement and felt such a peace over the situation that I said it was done and thanked God for the healing of Isaac.
On Sunday, October 1st, there was prayer being offered in the beginning of the service. I again felt at peace for Isaac and knew it was done. However, there was an invitation for people to come forward if you were standing in the gap for someone. I knew I needed to go forward. God highlighted a specific man that I was to see for prayer. This ended up being Steve, who I had never spoken to before. Other prayer lines had dwindled, but I still was waiting for this man. When I explained the situation of Isaac, his face lit up with confirming words. He shared Ephesians 1:20-21 “…which God worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” These verses were ones I have been meditating on for the past 2 years. I was very familiar with the verses, but when he spoke that leukemia is a name spoken from the age which is to come, I now understood, this too must submit to the Lord Jesus as He is seated in the heavenly places. Steve could have said many more words that morning, but I knew these particular words came alive like Rhema words and they were the confirming words I needed from scripture that had a great impact for complete healing over Isaac. I kept thinking how it – Leukemia, this spoken diagnosed word – is under His control!!!! Steve prayed such a confirming prayer over Isaac of healing, that I walked out of the church service with such peace and thanks to God for what He finished. I too was appreciative for the new found understanding from the Word.
On Thursday, October 26, Isaac’s Dr. report confirmed that they could not find any leukemia in his blood cells.
All this happened in less than I month from his first entering the Dr. Office, to the hospital, to instant treatments for the diagnosis of leukemia, which is under the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am pleased to report Isaac started back up doing his work of teaching Taekwondo, which is a very strenuous and physical job and is doing great.
I am so thankful we get to be a part of amazing testimonies such as this. Each person has a place and role to play. God’s people get the privilege to work alongside Him (II Cor. 6:1) .
