Pastor Jeff Wells of Woodsedge Church encouraged us to memorize a scripture a week. Here are the 52 verses that he and his church prayerfully choose.   1. Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 2. Psalm 103:11-12 11  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; 12  as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. 3. Proverbs 3:5-6 5  Trust in the LORD with all your hea…

Pastor Mike shares a message entitled, "Living in Blessing". In this Sunday sermon Pastor Mike teaches on how we can live in blessing thanks to the work of Jesus Christ. He reminds us that every day we have the choice to partner with Christ's finished work by the words that we use and the blessings we declare over our lives, families, and communities.…

When talking about giving and tithing to the church, it comes down to two different viewpoints of how we see God. In this message by Pastor Mike Polhemus titled, “Father God or The Godfather”, we learn that we are created with God’s character to give and live generously. As we intimately get to know His nature, we will trust Him, worship Him, and love Him, which results in radical obedience. In this special message we also have an important announcement from the Board of Trustees regarding the mortgage for the church building and the miracles that God has been performing as we believe him for freedom from debt.…

Pastor Kristi Polhemus teaches about how we can learn to know God through His word, The Bible. Old Testament and New Testament alike both show us God's nature and character. When we fully know God we are better able to trust and obey Him as we join in on the great adventure.…

Pastor Andrew Nemeth shares from his heart as we look at the topic of trusting God. Proverbs 3 and Psalms 127 teach us the importance of co-working with God and exchanging our understanding for his.…

This Sunday Pastor Mike shared a message titled, "In All Your Ways" where we looked into the blessed life of Solomon and the miraculous rescue of a nation through the Ask, Seek and Knock of King Hezekiah.   True success in life comes down to wholehearted devotion to God In ALL Our Ways!…

Pastor Marcus takes us on a Biblical walkthrough of Matthew 11 and encourages us to come to Jesus and learn from Him in every area of our life.…

Life Groups operate with a key verse at the forefront of our hearts Acts 2:42

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

We are focused on encouraging one another to follow the Comforter’s guidance and to building relationships with our Life Group families. To do this takes time to stop and know that He is God.

Life Groups exist to create an environment for people to connect, share, learn, grow, and to be encouraged. We believe that life is better together, therefore we invite everyone to join a group and plug-in.  God always meant for us to be in community.

Organization

We have three different types of Life Groups that you can join. You are free to join as many of the groups as you’d like, and are free to move between groups until you find the best fit.

Fire House

Fire House groups are interest based groups designed to ignite the fire within each of us. Joining together with others around a common passion is a great way to connect and build relationships while growing closer to God. If you’re interested in connecting with other skiers, hikers, bakers, etc; contact Pastor Curt at curt@therock.org to get started.

Water House

Water House groups are focused on bringing people closer together and closer to God. These groups share meals, learn from video or written curriculum, pray for one another, and develop lasting friendships. Contact Pastor Curt at curt@therock.org to get started.

Acts 2:42 “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Light House

Light House groups are intended to equip believers with tools they need to minister to their neighbors, co-workers, and community. These groups will partner with church leaders to train people for the work of the ministry and to bring light to a dark world.

Eph. 4:12 “…to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ…

Get In

Life Groups are one of the best ways to get connected. Whether you’re new to The Rock, or been here forever, you can get more connected with your church family by joining a group.

Get Strong

In Life Groups, we are establishing our spiritual muscles as we grow together. Through prayer and discussion, we are building each other up to be all that God has called us to be.

Get Going

Jesus encouraged us to share what we’ve learned and experienced when He said, “Freely you’ve received; freely give.” As the members of a Life Group are strengthened, they’re invited to give to those around them; to take the leap from spectator to participant. By serving inside or outside the walls of the church, we are transforming our streets, neighborhoods, and cities for the Glory of God.

Uncheck the boxes to have those types of groups removed.
