Life Groups operate with a key verse at the forefront of our hearts Acts 2:42
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
We are focused on encouraging one another to follow the Comforter’s guidance and to building relationships with our Life Group families. To do this takes time to stop and know that He is God.
Life Groups exist to create an environment for people to connect, share, learn, grow, and to be encouraged. We believe that life is better together, therefore we invite everyone to join a group and plug-in. God always meant for us to be in community.
We have three different types of Life Groups that you can join. You are free to join as many of the groups as you’d like, and are free to move between groups until you find the best fit.
Fire House groups are interest based groups designed to ignite the fire within each of us. Joining together with others around a common passion is a great way to connect and build relationships while growing closer to God. If you’re interested in connecting with other skiers, hikers, bakers, etc; contact Pastor Curt at email@example.com to get started.
Water House groups are focused on bringing people closer together and closer to God. These groups share meals, learn from video or written curriculum, pray for one another, and develop lasting friendships. Contact Pastor Curt at firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
Acts 2:42 “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Light House groups are intended to equip believers with tools they need to minister to their neighbors, co-workers, and community. These groups will partner with church leaders to train people for the work of the ministry and to bring light to a dark world.
Eph. 4:12 “…to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ…”
Life Groups are one of the best ways to get connected. Whether you’re new to The Rock, or been here forever, you can get more connected with your church family by joining a group.
In Life Groups, we are establishing our spiritual muscles as we grow together. Through prayer and discussion, we are building each other up to be all that God has called us to be.
Jesus encouraged us to share what we’ve learned and experienced when He said, “Freely you’ve received; freely give.” As the members of a Life Group are strengthened, they’re invited to give to those around them; to take the leap from spectator to participant. By serving inside or outside the walls of the church, we are transforming our streets, neighborhoods, and cities for the Glory of God.
Uncheck the boxes to have those types of groups removed.
