The Rock Missionaries

Following is a list of some of the missionaries that The Rock supports on a regular basis. Please note that this is in no way a complete list — we are in the process of compiling information from our missionaries in the field, so we encourage you to visit this page periodically to get the most current information.

Shawn Blanc
International House of Prayer
Kansas City, Missouri

Work: Shawn is a full-Time staff member and musician with the International House of Prayer, doing 24/7 prayer and worship; praying for laborers to be endued with power that the great harvest may come in accross the nations of the earth and for the return of Christ. Shawn and Anna were married in the Spring 2005.

Prayer Requests: That the Lord would release revelation on His Word, and open a way for the proclamation of the gospel and the knowledge of Jesus upon lost and un-interested hearts, both within the church and without.

Grant & Jennifer Haynes
Global Frontier Missions (www.globalfrontiermissions.com)
Oaxaca, Mexico

Work: Grant and Jennifer work among the Mixteco Indians of southern Mexico, reaching unreached people groups through church planting, discipleship, short-term teams, and leadership training.

Virginia (Ginny) Reczek
Youth for Christ / Crisis Pregnancy Ministries
Kenya

Work: Counsel young people facing a crisis pregnancy or other related difficulties (rape, etc.), assist Executive Director with various administrative duties, supervise the counselling staff and volunteers.

Prayer requests: Kenya is revising their constitution, and there is pressure by some lobbyists to legalise abortion. Most Kenyans really do not want abortion legalised, but a small group of vocal advocates for abortion are pushing for it. Also, pressure is being exerted by the Muslim community (comprising about 20-25% of the population) to put Kadhi courts into the national legal system (Muslim court system for domestic issues). Once introduced in this way, it becomes easy, step by step, for Islamic law to become the law of the land, as is the case in northern Nigeria. Kenyans fear what is happening in Nigeria will also happen here if we don't stop it now.
