Why Should I Join a Community Group


God created us to depend on each other. Nothing of value is developed in a relational vacuum. Joining a community group is the first step to growing relationally. Community groups provide support, friendship, accountability, relationship and fun. Just attending a community group helps defeat isolation often experienced by people in our culture. Community is just as essential to our lives as oxygen, water, and food. Worldwide, people are being empowered by the ancient practice of community.

At the Rock Church, while we know that everyone needs community for healthy living, we also recognize that people connect differently based on various reasons. Because of people’s different needs and interests, we have categorized our groups into four different areas – classes, interest group, ministry groups, and home groups. Through a shared interest, hobby, strength, common purpose, or stage of life, you will be able to connect more deeply into the life giving community that God has in mind.
