In early February 2005 we added Pastor Michael Sweet to our staff here at The Rock as our full time worship pastor.  Michael is originally from Bradenton, FL and moved to Colorado back in 1995.  He interned at Orchard Road Christian Center for youth ministry, but felt God leading him into the area of worship.  Michael began leading worship in 1996 at Orchard Road where he led the youth worship team and various adult worship services. Michael and his wife Cherise met in Colorado in 1995 and married in 1999.  They have three beautiful little girls…Caroline, Evan, and Ashlyn.

Since then Michael has led worship for Champion ministries, Church of the Rock, and most recently, he was the full time worship pastor for a congregation of about 1500 at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA.  After three and a half years of serving with Cornerstone Chapel, Michael & Cherise accepted the position here at the Rock.  Michael has such a passion for genuine spirit filled worship…we are blessed to have him as part of our staff.
