Bob and Janet Holloway come to The Rock with over twenty years of experience in ministry and community development. Their past ministry experience includes counseling, small group training, marriage enrichment, teaching on gifting, spiritual formation, and relationship with God.
Currently, Pastor Bob oversees the counseling ministry, support groups and the connection/assimilation of new believers and new comers in the church. These areas of oversight speak to their passion, which is helping people to heal and become genuine followers of Jesus, through what the Lord called “disciple making.” Key to their focus is a single-minded view of the Lord’s last words: “Go and make disciples who do what I did, and keep doing that until I come back.” (Matthew 28:18-20, paraphrased)
Pastoral Care at The Rock is really an umbrella for a number of “caring,” connecting ministries. For example, counseling and support groups are a vital part of the healing of the whole person at The Rock. But belonging and becoming part of a supportive, spiritual family is a healing experience as well.
Everything, from our “Discovering The Rock” to “Discovering God’s Design for You,” is designed to include our people include our people in the mainstream of the church family.
